Emergency First Response Instructor Course

CPR and First Aid are important skills that everyone should learn, not just scuba divers

What is EFR?

Emergency First Response (EFR) is one of the largest CPR, First Aid, and AED training organizations in the world. More than 56,000 EFR Instructors train individuals, communities, and businesses in 170 countries to prepare for emergencies each day.

When you take the EFR Instructor (EFRI) course with Instructor Trainer Jon-Jon Suarez, he'll help you learn lifesaving skills in a fun and non-stressful environment. Earning your EFRI certification qualifies you to teach:

  • Primary Care

  • Secondary Care

  • Care for Children

  • CPR & AED (Automated External Defibrillation)

Why take the EFR Instructor course?

As a PADI Dive Instructor, you'll be conducting Rescue Diver and Divemaster courses, which means you'll have to certify your students in CPR and First Aid as well. More importantly, you must have the skills to respond effectively in an emergency to be a competent and confident instructor.

The EFRI certification also lets you teach EFR courses outside diving environments, so it's an added business opportunity for you.

How does the EFRI course tie in with our IDC?

Our Emergency First Response Instructor course is included in our Instructor Development Course (IDC) curriculum. It's conducted over 2 days right before the IDC begins, so it's a fun and interactive ice breaker. Not only will you be able to review your CPR and First Aid skills and learn how to teach them to others, but you'll also get acquainted with your fellow IDC candidates. If you want to take the EFRI course separately, we can do that too.

When you enroll in our EFRI course, you'll receive your own EFR Instructor Guides for Primary and Secondary Care, Care for Children, and CPR & AED. They contain the exams for your future EFR students. We also throw in the PADI Emergency Oxygen Specialty Instructor course for free.

To participate in the EFRI course and IDC, you must have completed CPR and First Aid training from an accredited organization within the last 24 months. If you have any questions regarding the requirements, schedules, and prices, or you just want to know more about how we conduct our courses, please send us a message using the form below. We're also happy to respond directly through our email address or phone number!
