You'll be able to offer the PADI Sidemount course to any of your students with a minimum age of 15 years old and a minimum certification level of Open Water Diver.

How does the PADI Sidemount Instructor Specialty course tie in with our IDC?

Once you've completed the Instructor Development Course (IDC), you'll be ready to take the Instructor Examination (IE) and become a diving instructor. However, being a Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) will set you apart in the job market. Having 5 or more specialty course ratings will give you an advantage because you can teach and certify more student divers. To help you attain these ratings, we include 3 specialty instructor ratings for free in our IDC and conduct an MSDT Prep Program right after.
